Caiman and ONE SMART SPRAY announce innovation in selective spraying during Agroactiva 2024
Following its innovative tradition, Caimán announced an alliance with ONE SMART SPRAY, a joint venture between Bosch and BASF, for the integration and commercialization of a selective and intelligent spraying solution in its SP Dual Spraying System self-propelled sprayer line. The system will be presented during Agroactiva 2024, held from June 5 to 8 in Armstrong, Santa Fe, Argentina.
The ONE SMART SPRAY technology, which will be factory-integrated into the new sprayer, uses a camera system and artificial intelligence to provide real-time weed detection and selective spraying, applying herbicides only where weeds are present instead of across the entire field. The technology also offers digital and agronomic intelligence tools from xarvio® Digital Farming Solutions, including digital maps of weed distribution and applied areas, application windows, sensitivity levels, automatic documentation, among other functions. Additionally, the system allows for day and night spraying in any lighting condition, thanks to an LED lighting system specially developed for it, providing exceptional performance in both pre-emergence (“green on brown”) and post-emergence (“green on green”) applications.
